MeRISE: What’s your previous job? 你最近的職業是什麼？
I am an engineer.
我是一名自動控制工程師。
MeRISE: Are you using English when you’re at work? 你之前在工作中會使用到英語嗎？
Yes. I am going to use it in the work when I need. I have been through many years in Electric Engineering industry. Among them, we must be capable to read English whether it is global company or not and especially there are some foreigners in the management in global company, hence English communication is essential.
是的。我有多年的電機相關工作經驗，在這之中不管是外商公司或不是,都至少會要讀得懂工程相關的英文，尤其在外商公司時，管理階層主管常常是外國人，英文溝通是免不了的。
MeRISE: Why did you choose to go to the Filipino Language School? 為什麼你會選擇到菲律賓的語言學校學英語？
There are some factors that affect me to make a decision. The price、distance and non-native speaker. Compare with Europe、America and Australia, the price is definitely the cheapest, the distance is only 2 and 40 minutes from Taipei to Cebu, also English is our second language, so all people can understand more than English native speaker the kind of problem we encounter.
這邊有機個因素影響了我的決定。價格、距離和非母語人士。跟歐洲、美國和澳洲，價格上絕對是最便宜的，距離方面才2小時40分鐘的飛機，還有我們都是在學習第二語言，所以他們會比母語人士更能了解我們學英文遇到的問題。
MeRISE: Why do you choose to study at MeRISE English Academy? 為什麼你會選擇到MeRISE學英語？
There are some points to influenced me such as atmosphere、management、accommodation and environment. The Japanese style of management makes me feel cautious、high quality and realistic. The accommodation is modern、tidy and comfortable. The persons who study in here are workers in society that make the atmosphere and environment simple and has good vibration in study.
這邊有幾個重點影響了我是氛圍、管理、住宿和環境。日式化的管理，讓我覺得謹慎、高品質和實際。現代化、乾淨整潔和舒適的住宿空間。在MeRISE就讀的都是社會人士，環境很單純而且讀書氣氛和好。
MeRISE: How was your study in the Philippines? 你在菲律賓的學習過程如何？
The study in MeRISE is good as I have imagined. Especially, the customized lessons and professional teachers are amazing.
在MeRISE的學習跟我的原本的想像是一樣好的。特別是因材施教和專業的老師，讓我覺得很棒。
MeRISE: Have you studied English before? 你之前有學習過英語嗎？
Yes, just like most of Taiwanese who have been studying in school from compulsory education.
有，跟大多數的台灣人一樣從義務教育的學校開始。
MeRISE: What has changed yourself compare to before? 來到MeRISE學習後，你覺得自己有什麼改變嗎？
The biggest change in myself is that I realized English is a tool for communication to understand each other, not a subject and just to show-off.
我覺得對我來說最大的改變就是，英文終於不再是考試的科目，也不是拿來炫耀，而是人與人溝通互相理解的工具。
MeRISE: Did you enjoy your weekends in Cebu? 你享受自己在宿霧的假日期間嗎？
Yes, I am a person who loves delicious foods and shopping during the weekend in shopping mall、street around Cebu also I take it as a walking exercise.
我是一個會在周末假日上街和去購物中心，尋找美食的人，我也順便當成是散步和運動。
MeRISE: Do you think your English ability has already improved through this study abroad? 你認為在菲律賓遊學的經驗有讓自己的英語能力改善嗎？
Yes, I got more confidence and able to understand with foreigner in making communication.
我變得更有自信且能夠聽得懂外國人說甚麼並且溝通。
MeRISE: How do you keep your English competence in the future? 未來你打算如何維持自己的英語能力呢？
I will use the application in smartphone to keep my English ability that is listening to English for an hour after work.
我下班後，將會使用手機上的應用程式收聽英語，來保持我的英文能力。
MeRISE: Do you have any plans after study abroad? 這趟國外遊學結束後，有任何計畫嗎？
After study abroad, I will have a job in Taiwan offers high salary and good atmosphere. Whether it is global company or not, but mostly, it is a global company in our industry.
完成菲律賓遊學後，我會回台灣找一份高薪及工作氣氛好的工作。不管它是不是外商公司，但大多數都是外商公司才有這樣的福利。
MeRISE: Finally, I would like you to leave a message to those who are going to study at MeRISE. 最後，請你對即將來到MeRISE遊學的同學說一些話吧！
In my personal experience, I would like to suggest for coming students. Step out of your comfort zone, talk with someone who can surround you with English language, maybe accidentally falling in a relationship. Why not?
根據我的經驗，我想對即將要來的學生們說。踏出你的舒適圈，多多跟周遭的人做英文對談，甚至意外的墜入愛河也無妨！
